So, we got a call on Saturday morning after we have been inside for two days, notified all my daycare parents that Hayden has chicken pox, and cancelled Easter at our home. The doctor from our urgent care called that Hayden's blood test came negative for chicken pox and that he wasn't immune to the virus. So, the vaccine didn't take or it was missed in the heap of the vaccine process. Ended up he just had some weird virus.
At least Saturday we spent the rest of the day outside and treated our family of four to sushi....which we left at the restaurant.....story of my life ha ha
So, funny story...On Saturday, after laying the boys down for a nap, I decided to boil some eggs to dye later on. I was so tired from staying up late the night before, and went upstairs to rest. Ronnie, was interrupted from his intense TV watching to a noise in the kitchen. Exploding eggs! Pretty exciting. I did have intention to tell Ronnie to watch them, but forgot/was distracted. Note: When there is no water left in the pot of boiling eggs, they explode. Now you know! ha ha

Buck....buck.....buck
My goodness it is so hard to get on here to take the time to put my thoughts and experiences out in the open. First, organizing what I call a mind is work in it self. I feel like there is something going on....always going on. I really am not a boring person, if you know me, and experience so many things, but can't manage to write out a legacy out on paper, so to speak....Talking about venting...anyway.
Wednesday morning I was getting Hayden up for the day and noticed a little rash on his back. I didn't think twice about it, since he wore warmer PJ's to bed, I figured he my have gotten a little heat rash. No big deal. After yoga, Ronnie and I talk and her notices that Hayden has a rash on his tummy. I was thinking that wasn't good because that means it is spreading. I grabbed Hayden and ran him over to Urgent Care. Once we were in the room, the doctor came in to examine Hayden. He then got a second opinion from a family doctor on duty that night that had 30+ years experience. Both said that same thing......Chicken Pox.
Are you kidding me? Hello? I believe in the power of vaccinations! But also realize it is never a guarantee you are in the clear of a virus. This is what I learned with chicken pox. When a person is exposed it lies dormant for 2 weeks and then a person is MOST contagious 4-7 days before symptoms and 9-14 days after. Pregnant women can infect the unborn baby even if the mother has been vaccinated/already had the virus. No Aspirin, it can cause a very serious syndrome in conjunction with chicken pox.
Well Hayden had to have blood work done, but the only lab tech was expecting. The doctor and nurse teamed up to draw some blood. That was funny. They were poking fun at each other the whole time. They were both great. Hayden was even more of a God sent. He had to have blood drawn from both sides and didn't flinch. Everyone was impressed and Hayden was going to be legendary at least for the next week for how great he was. I was proud, because Hayden said he wanted to be a doctor. SMILE.
We left from the doctor with no blood test confirmation, but 10 to 1 it is chicken pox and will call within the next couple days.
Daycare will be able to resume by next Tuesday. Today, I notified all the parents and had my 5 year old girl come. A nice mellow day.......besides Hayden's tantrums.
I'll touch on it, but he has been SUPER UBER sensitive about EVERYTHING. Can I make that bigger? I know that he is sick, but my patience was shot. I have been fighting a flu bug....NO NOT PREGNANT.....I checked. Exhausted....just exhausted. I am sad the pulling out of Easter this year, too. I guess higher up is trying to tell us to slow down.
I hear yeah! I get it!
